  • Steve Bennett: Gazmend Hoxha’s resignation was unnecessary

Former Director of the Mission for Education and Police Development Steve Bennett has estimated that the resignation of Kosovo Police Director Gazmend Hoxha, following 49-year-old Arlinda Zekaj, was unnecessary and could negatively affect the institution’s reform process.

Through a post, Bennett stressed that the case requires full accountability, but according to him, the general director’s departure risks the symbolic responsibility to replace the investigation of institutional failures that led to tragedy.

He has demanded that the investigation focus on the way institutions handled the case, particularly in implementing defence orders, risk assessment and response to investigators’ warnings.

According to Bennett, these issues relate to organisational practices, command responsibility and institutional culture, so they cannot be solved only through the departure of the police leader.

Calculating should be proportional to proven responsibility and not simply determined by the position or hierarchy of the office someone holds, he wrote.

Bennett has voiced concern that Hoxha’s resignation could weaken the reform process, stressing that the higher leadership should be part of identifying failures and implementing recommendations.

In the end, he has called for an independent and comprehensive investigation, as well as concrete measures to improve institutional functioning.

According to him, citizens’ trust returns not only through resignations but through clear identification of failures and proven improvements in protecting vulnerable persons.

  • Nostalgi, emotions and assessments for Kosovo Accords at the Red Carpet in RTK

The head of the Vetevendosje Movement Parliamentary Group, Arberie Nagavci, praised the return of the festival and the importance of cultural activities for citizens.

She has praised the return of the Kosovo Song Contest, saying this festival reminds her of her rich musical youth and tradition.

Nagavci said restoring the Kosovo Accords with the new appointment is a particular emotion. She recalled that the festival, which began in the 1960s, was once a popular and important music event.

Nagavci also praised the participation of artists not only from Kosovo, but also from Albania and other Albanian lands.

It wished success for the participating singers and stressed the importance of organizing more cultural and artistic activities, which offer opportunities for citizens.

During the conversation on RTK’s red carpet, Nagavci also praised the importance of the festival’s third night, dedicated to children.

It is extremely important to have as much activities as possible for children and their involvement in art, whether as participants in the Kosovo Accords or as a host, it is a closer relationship with art, she said.

The former music editor at Kosovo Radio Television, Mini Fetah, and lawyer Arian Koci were welcomed on RTK’s red carpet.

Fetah, who now returns to the Kosovo Accords as a spectator, praised the festival’s historic importance and its contribution to the development of Albanian music.

The Accords have been a base of musical art not only of Kosovo, but also of all Albanian spaces, because they have included all singers, composers, artists, courters and instrumentists from all Albanian lands, Fetah said.

She praised RTK leaders and the Ministry of Culture for the return of the festival, naming it an event of great national importance.

Fetahu particularly praised the evening dedicated to children, which offers new talents the opportunity to introduce themselves and develop their artistic inclinations.

When children gather and extract talents different from that festival, it means a lot, because those children will grow up with that talent, they will develop and tomorrow become great artists, she stressed.

Lawyer Arian Koci also expressed satisfaction with continuing the tradition of the Kosovo Accords, naming the festival a ikeonic event of Albanian music.

Koci recalled that the festival began in 1963 and cited similarities in spirit with the Italian music festival Sanremo.

He stressed that the Kosovo Accords have been an important platform for composers and light music, praising the artistic level the festival has achieved over the years.

For Kocin, the return of the festival has a personal significance as his father, Akil Koci, composed songs that were presented on the scene.

He recalled childhood emotions and family ties to the festival, expressing curiosity about what the final night will bring.

Instrumentist Astrit Stafai recalled his participation in the Kosovo Accords as a child when he was presented as a singer with Istanbul Dembles.

He said that the return of the festival has raised special memories and made him proud to be a part of it today as an instrumentist.

It’s a special emotion, because it’s turning us back in time. It is a measure of homesickness and, at the same time, I feel very proud and normally privileged to be part of the biggest event in our country and of the history of Kosovo music, Stafai said.

He praised the return of the festival with historic appointment, calling it a very important development for music in Kosovo.

Even actor Fatmir Spahiu praised the return of the festival, naming it an event of particular importance to Kosovo’s cultural memory.

The restoration of the Accords is the return of one of the emotional collective memories of art created at that time. I like this return and, as a citizen of this country, it makes me happy, Spahiu said.

He also spoke of the importance of the festival’s continuation and of Kosovo’s goal to be part of the competitions organised by the European Union of Broadcasting ( EBU, including the European Song and Child Festival.

Spahiu voiced hope that Kosovo will succeed in these races, noting that the country has been admitted to important international sports organisations, such as FIFA and UEFA.

I don’t have any logical explanation for how EBU is not acting. How can some children not be allowed to participate in the Children’s Eurovision? It’s about the song, it’s about music, and it’s an absurd of its kind, Spahiu said.

He added that Kosovo has faced obstacles in international institutions before, but voiced conviction that continuing cultural and musical activities remains important.

  • 5 signs that someone in secret can’t stand you: He may hide it with a smile, but such behavior betrays him

5 signs that someone in secret can’t stand you: He may hide it with a smile, but such behavior betrays him

I can talk, joke and act like everything’s okay. However, some changes in vision, milk, and body language may reveal a colder relationship than appears to be

At times, a person’s attitude toward us is revealed, not by words, but by the way he behaves in our presence. Someone may be kind, smile, and participate in the conversation, but it also gives the impression that he wants to keep his distance.

The hidden dislike does not necessarily appear through conflict. It can be accompanied by blindness of sight, change of mimics, or reserved attitude.

However, a single gesture does not give evidence that someone does not like you. More important are the behavior that is repeated in various situations.

    1. Always avoid eye contact

Eye contact is an important part of communication and often shows attention to the conversationator.

If someone keeps checking the phone, looking around, or looking for other people with eyes as you speak, it may give the impression that he is not interested.

This becomes more meaningful when others keep direct contact with their eyes while they treat you differently.

However, avoiding sight can also be linked to shyness, anxiety, fatigue, or personal communication.

    2. An expression of contempt appears on his face

Face expressions sometimes convey emotions that do not match words.

A slight rise of one side of the lip, a amount of discontent, or a disparaging reaction may signal a negative attitude.

But caution: A brief expression is not reliable evidence to reveal secret feelings.

The person may be reacting to another concern that has nothing to do with you.

More significant is whether such reactions are repeated repeatedly during communication with you.

    3. Others smile as they get serious with you

Smile is a common way to express warmth and closeness.

Imagine someone who talks freely with friends, laughs, and seems out – of – date. However, once you join the group, your facial expression changes, and your attitude becomes more reserved.

If this is repeated over and over again, it may indicate discomfort in your presence.

However, a lack of smile does not necessarily mean antipathy. People may be tired, concerned, or naturally less expressive. F

    4. Turns your body in a different direction during conversation

A fleshly attitude can signal interest and involvement in communication.

When we find a conversation to be pleasant, we are often naturally oriented toward our conversationor.

On the contrary, a person who wants to finish the conversation may turn his back, direct his body toward the door, or seem to have attention elsewhere.

However, such behavior may have a common explanation: A person may be hastily or simply distracted.

    5. He strives to keep physical distance

Each of us needs personal space, but the way we keep it changes according to our relationship with humans.

If a person constantly takes a step back when you approach him, chooses to sit away from you, or avoid getting close to social situations, he may be expressing a desire for distance.

This is more evident if he or she freely interacts with other people while he is reserved in your presence.

However, the need for personal space is also influenced by character, customs, and culture.

When do these signs really indicate a problem?

You don’t have to seek secret meanings at every glance, smile, or movement.

More important, note whether certain behaviors appear together and are repeated under different circumstances.

If someone constantly becomes colder in your presence, avoid communication, and try to keep his distance, there may be tension in relationships.

However, the language of the body does not enable us to read the thoughts of others. So rather than drawing conclusions from gestures alone, appreciate your overall relationship.

Not everyone who keeps a distance has an antipath, just as not every smile proves genuine proximity. /Telegraphy/

  • Starmer: Europe can no longer rely on US as once, must strengthen defence

Former British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has called for Europe to build a common security and defence framework, warning that the change in its defence relations with the United States is permanent and is not linked only to Donald Trump’s presidency.

Speaking at a British-Irish Chamber of Commerce activity in Dublin, Starmer said Europe must co-operate more closely on security and defence issues, comparing the need for a common security framework with the importance of a common market. The Irish Times+1

Things won’t come back like they were before. This has to do with a permanent change of circumstances, not with a deviation of the Trumpʹ presidency, he said.

Starmer stressed that this does not mean that relations with the US have lost importance, assessing that the military, security and intelligence alliance between the two countries remains very strong.

However, he warned that Europe must take far more responsibility for its defence and security, as the US has made it clear that it will not continue to finance European security in the same way as before. The Horizon Wire+1

He also demanded that the United Kingdom have a central role in this co-operation, stressing the importance of co-ordination among European countries in the face of common challenges.

  • Non-confidence motion against Donald Tusk, opposition aims to overthrow government in Poland

The conservative opposition in Poland has launched an initiative to oust Prime Minister Donald Tusk’s government, warning of submitting a no-confidence motion in Parliament.

Instead of the current government, the opposition proposes the establishment of a temporary technical administration that would be headed by former Parliament Speaker Marek Jurek.

The news was made known by former Polish Prime Minister Matthews Morawiecki, who declared: We’re presenting a no-confidence motion to Donald Tusk’s government.

According to Morawieck, the proposed technical government would remain in office until next elections, which would determine a new parliamentary majority.

This movement marks a further escalation of the political crisis in Poland, which has deepened following the clash over the country’s Constitutional Court.

Polish President Carol Nawrocki has described the situation as a violation of constitutional order and an attempt to take control of a state constitutional institution.

Due to the developments, he suspended his visit to Senegal, returned to Warsaw at night and called urgent consultations with parliamentary parties.

The crisis began after Judge Anna Korwin-Piotrowska suspended the head of the Constitutional Tribunal, Bogdan Swiecszkowski, and took the helm of the institution. The move was strongly opposed by Swieczkowski himself and the opposition Justice and Law Party (PIS), which deemed it illegal.

On the other hand, Donald Tusk’s government argues that its actions are aimed at restoring rule of law and correcting changes to the judicial system undertaken during the eight years of PPS government, which ended in 2023.

Meanwhile, the opposition accuses the current government of trying to take over independent state institutions, further deepening the political and institutional clashes in the country.

  • Following Arlinda Zekaj’s assassination, experts seek reforms in police and justice

Politologists and social informationists have criticised ministers Donika Gervalla and Jelal Svecla after not resigning, despite reports confirming the failure to defend Arlinda Zekaj.

Reports of the two ministries that led proved failure in protecting Arlinda Zekiaj’s life.

But for Donika Gervala’s resignation requests and Jelal Sveschla, these two answers were similar.

Despite what has been declared, politician Ramiz Ismaili estimates the resignation is necessary.

To be clear, resigning is not automatically an admission of guilt is a matter when people feel the responsibility issue or even respect to the citizens what makes Mrs. Gervala and Svechla responsible persons, Ramiz Ismajli, Politologist said.

He said that after this failure the reforms should begin.

Minister Svechla and Minister Gervala should not expect citizen pressure, but the resignation should be done as a moral act because they have not seen the system’s shortcomings and there must be reform in the justice system as well as in the police system that doesn’t work, what needs to be reformed, Ramiz Ismajli, a politician, has said.

And sociologist Bekim Selista says resignation is weak.

The prime minister has to step down because this is the moral act of this situation, it’s the slightest act of this market situation in the face of this situation that has rocked our country, said Bekim Selista, sociologist.

Selish also spoke of the resignation of Police Director General Gazmend Hoxha.

In this position where Mr. Hoxha is, he had to resign his final resignation in relation to politics here, and we have seen that politics has failed, even Donika Gervala’s speech in the convent, so much more convinced that he must resign, Bekim Selista said, sociologist.

The resignation of two ministers is also being sought by activists and citizens who are protesting from Wednesday to institutions in search of justice for Arlinda Zekaj. /Tv Dukagini

  • Testing the jurisdiction, A S: Dimitrievski with fewer MPs, but with more power

The Alliance for Albanians says the Justice Minister’s proposal, Jeton Shasivari, that 12 theoretical exams be held in Albanian, while the 2 practical exams in Macedonian alone have rightly caused discontent among Albanian students.

Their demand is clear and unchanged. The testing of jurisdiction should be fully maintained in Albanian, in accordance with guaranteed rights to the Constitution and Law for the use of languages.

While Albanian students are awaiting solutions, Minister Shasivar proposes a partial model and warns of sending the issue to the Venice Commission. After two generations of waiting, further dragging the issue is unacceptable.
On the other hand, Maksim Dimitrievski, chairman of ZNAM and partner of the ruling coalition, has declared that Macedonian is the red line for his party and that he will not allow the jurisdictional exam to be held in Albanian. Dimitrievski’s stance, lack of V determination LEN’s tell a lot about the reports of forces within the Government. Z NAM, though with fewer MPs, manages to establish conditions and publicly defend its attitudes. V LEN, although having greater parliamentary weight, continues to seek compromises even on issues that were largely promised to citizens.
How could Dimitrievski, with fewer deputies, have more influence on Government than all V representatives? LEN together?

They say that V LEN promised that the jurisdictional exam and professional exams would be held in Albanian. Today, after more than two years in power, students are offered a halved solution, while Macedonian coalition partners set red lines and warn they will not release.

This situation raises serious questions about the real VLEN impact on government decision making. If a partner with fewer MPs manages to impose his stance, then why V LEN fails to ensure respect for such an important requirement for Albanian students? After two generations of expectations and more than two years of government, students deserve a final answer. V LEN has to take responsibility for its promises and prove that it has the effect needed to carry them out. The Alliance for Albanians fully supports the student’s application and calls on Minister Shasivar and VLEN representatives to withdraw the current proposal and immediately take the necessary steps to enable the Albanian-language law enforcement exam to be fully effective. Dimitrievski has placed the XNAM red lines. It’s time that V LEN to show whether he has the political courage to defend the rights of Albanians with the same determination, the ASH says.
