  • Siljanovska-Davidkova: The issue with Bulgaria cannot be described as bilateral, nor only as a problem with the EU

President Gordana Siljanovska-Dashkova estimates that the issue about Macedonia’s European integration and the provisions related to Bulgaria cannot qualify either exclusively as bilateral issues, nor only as a problem between the country and the European Union.

In an interview for Sitel, Siljanovska-Davidkova focused on the latest meeting with European Commission Chairman Ursula von Lajeen and the possibility for the EU to mediate in talks with Bulgaria.

Regarding messages from Brussels for continuing talks with Sofia, she recalled that the question was previously raised whether the dispute was bilateral or is about issues within EU relations.

When we said that the issue was of bilateral nature, since neither in the Action Plan nor before, there is no remark from other countries, no one is vetoing, but the need for merit systems at the interval is stressed… Bulgaria said the issue is not bilateral, but that it concerns the European Union. I’ve said many times that if so, then let’s negotiate with the European Union, Siljanovska-Davidkova said.

According to her, mechanisms exist in such situations in European law, including Article 7 of the European Union Agreement, which envisions the possibility of limiting the specific rights of a member state if serious violations of EU principles and values are proven.

However, the president stressed that dialogue and exchange of views are needed, but that the problem or process cannot be described as exclusively bilateral, or as a problem we have with the European Union.

Regarding the European representatives’ stances on the obligations undertaken, Siljanovska-Davidkova focused on European constitutional right and fundamental EU documents.

I’m not just president, I’m also a professor. I know the European constitutional right. And what these days refer to, Yotova, Bulgaria’s president, when she says that we should respect the principles and values of the European Union, are the very issues I am talking about. It was written very clearly in the EU Agreement, the Lisbon Agreement, on the Charter for Final Rights, that the EU will respect national and cultural identity, not only of EU members, but of all nations and states, Siljanovska-David said.

She added that European documents also envision respect for the constitutional and political structures of states.
Siljanovska-Davidkova estimated that these very principles should be taken into account in the country’s European integration process, especially when it comes to issues related to national and cultural identity.

Regarding the requirement for constitutional changes, the president said she could not guarantee they would be approved.

What do I say when they ask me if we’re going to change the Constitution? I can’t give such a guarantee. MPs do not represent me, represent citizens, and, as in any European parliament, they vote according to their beliefs, Siljanovska-David said.

She asked what would happen if constitutional changes were resumed, and MPs did not secure the two-thirds majority, as well as the necessary majority of MPs from communities that are not majority.

  • I was afraid that the Albanian girl would kill me.

I was afraid that the Albanian girl would kill me.

An Albanian has become a hero at Wilmergen canton Aragau in Switzerland, after interfering during a robbery in the pizzerina where his daughter works and arrived at the raiding knife.

The event took place on Sunday evening, when a masked man entered the pizzeria and attempted to rob money at the knife’s threat. Zelal Selim was outside the bar when he noticed what was going on inside, reports 20 minutes.

I was afraid that the Albanian girl would kill me.

I took the knife so she wouldn’t kill my daughter.

I slowly went in and I intervened to grab the knife so he wouldn’t kill my daughter, Selim told us about a local television.

He confessed that the knife was only about two and a half inches [40 to 50 cm] from his daughter’s head, and she had begun shouting: A knife, a knife!

Selim relates that he caught the thief for the lock and twisted his arm behind his back, then reaching for the knife, taking the video.

The thief, who was in disguise, had gone to the back of the pizza, almost to the pizza oven. After Selim’s intervention, he left the club, while the Albanian followed him abroad.

The author then left with an electric scooter, but he failed to leave for long. According to the Aragau Cantonal Police, a police officer in office stopped him a little later and arrested him.

The suspect is a 36-year-old Serb from the region, who has been taken into custody.

During the clash with the robber, Selim suffered slight injuries on both hands.

We’re shocked, it was very scary, he said.

His daughter, meanwhile, has declared that her father’s intervention was crucial.

Fortunately, my father managed to resolve the situation because when the police arrived, there could already have been a massacre, he said.

The police are investigating whether the robber even robbed Beck.

The case occurred just a few days after another armed robbery in a bakery, where a knife was also used. In that case, the author had run away with money and had not been caught.

The Aragau Cantonal Police are investigating whether the two robberies are related to each other. Authorities have indicated this is still part of the investigation. /Telegraphy/

  • US meeting with 5 European countries 𔂺gra worries’ within NATO

Meetings between the top US defence official Elbridge Colby, and five European countries have raised concerns that such forms could create divisions within NATO.

The group, known as RHergen Group, includes Sweden, Finland, Poland, Germany and the Netherlands.

Britain, France and the Baltic states are not part of it.

NATO experts warn that the creation of individual groups could create the impression that the US is favouring some allies over others.

According to them, it becomes especially sensitive, while Washington is demanding that Europe assume more responsibility for protecting the continent.

NATO, meanwhile, has downplayed the importance of meetings, saying it is normal for allies to hold meetings in smaller formats.

The lack of ballistic sites is particularly evident, as they are among the members who spend more on defence and are on the front lines facing Russia.

Lithuania, meanwhile, has invited Colby to visit the region to take a close look at air space violations and recent incidents that authorities link with hybrid threats from Russia and Belarus. /Telegraphy/

  • Alvarez returns to the goal with Argentina, while its value drops to 10m euros

Alvarez returns to the goal with Argentina, while its value drops to 10m euros

Julian Alvarez has found the first goal of the season with Argentina fanele, marking the 7-0 victory over Burkina Fasos on 3 October.

This goal gives Atletico Madrid’s attacker a significant boost after a difficult start of the season at the club level.

The 26-year-old attacker has had little room in Diego Simeones’ formation in the first weeks of the season.

Alvarez returns to the goal with Argentina, while its value drops to 10m euros

In the first three games of La League, Alvarez gathered only 83 minutes, always being activated by the bench before a muscle overload left out the challenges to Real Sociedad and Ossawa.

He returned to derbin to Real Madrid, but again started the match from the pancaina and activated for the last 30 minutes. Athletico triumphed 2-1, but the Argentinians failed to register goals or assistance.

His situation in Madrid follows a turbulent summer during which Barcelona tried to transfer him.

The Catalan club submitted a 100m-euro bid and intended to close the deal during July, but Atletico Madrid refused to negotiate the offensive’s departure.

Even the club’s president, Miguel Angel Gil Marin, had declared that Atletico would not accept offers of 100, 150m or not 200m euros for Alvarez.

Argentina’s contract with the Madrile Club by June 2030, while its release clause is 500m euros.

During the summer, Alvarez had expressed a desire to get to Barcelona, but the transfer was not realised and he returned to Simeon’s project. Meanwhile, its market value has also suffered decline, from 120m euros to 110m euros, according to the latest update of Transfermark.

This is another sign of a season’s beginning under expectation for the assailant, who in the first seven weeks of last season had scored six goals in La League.

The goal of Burkina Faso can serve as a starting point for a return to Alvarez in his best form.

Now, his objective is to carry this positive moment even to Atletico Madrid and win more minutes in Simeon’s formation. /Telegraphy/

  • Why do Swiss men work full – time despite taking part – time jobs?

A long – term study by the University of Cyril shows that the desire for part – time work rarely becomes a reality for men.

For the long-term analysis, data was assessed between 2004 and 2020. This allowed researchers to trace when men develop a desire for part – time work and if they actually do, reports Swissinfo.

Find: Each year, almost ten percent of full – time men express a desire to reduce their working hours, but only one in ten does so in reality (you can find the detailed results.

    Development

With a partial employment rate of 40 per cent among all employed persons, Switzerland has the second highest rate within the OECD. By international comparison, Switzerland performs well.

The percentage of men working part-time has doubled since 2000, from about ten per cent to over 20 per cent. On the OECD average, this figure increased from only eight per cent to slightly less than 13 per cent during the same period.

    Hurdles

The study identified professional norms as crucial factors. In professions strongly influenced by the ideals of the man who provides the family and a high expectations of professional devotion, few men developed a desire for part – time work or actually applied it.

Conversely, the number is on the rise in professional areas where the compatibility of work and private life is promoted.

    Recognition of Study Authors

The study states that there has been a decline in the standard pattern of full – time employment and an increase in new working – time models.

According to research leader Jan Müller, conditions for men to reduce working hours are favourable in Germany. The full – time work week of nearly 42 hours makes it an attractive landing. Moreover, in view of high wages, this is often more realistic financially than in other countries.

    The Surprising Example

An example of a change in standards is the medical profession. There, an increasing number of men are working part – time.

The man’s role as family head has lost significance there, while the labour-life balance has been given more weight. This surprised me in a profession known for hours of overtime, Müller was quoted as saying in the press release.

    Overview

The study reveals mechanisms that contribute to the growth of part – time work on men. Müller stressed that realising the personal preferences of working time reduces stress and strengthens equality./Telegraphy/

  • Ginny: Kurte has loved the Special Court and has deliberately led the country towards elections

Alliance Chairman Ardian Gjini has sharply criticised incumbent Prime Minister Albin Kurti, charging that he has followed a deliberate strategy to keep the country in political crisis and lead it towards elections.

Djind has declared Kurti is one of the Albanian politicians who, according to him, has mostly supported the Special Court.

Kurti is probably the only Albanian politician who, with every cell in his brain and body, has wanted this court, Djind has said.

Referring to the stance of the Vetevendosje Movement in 2015, Djind has claimed that the failure to establish the Special Court by MPs from this party was, according to him, pure opportunism rather than principled opposition.

According to him, Vetevendosje had known that the ruling parties at the time would vote on the establishment of the court and therefore chose not to participate in the vote.

Djind has also linked the issue of the Special Court to Kurt’s coming to power, declaring that the Special Court is the essence of why Kurti is in power.

The AAK chairman has said his party, since June, had warned Kurt that the country could move towards new elections.

He has accused the prime minister of shutting down all chances of exiting political blockades, disregarding the AAK’s bid, slipping down. The Democratic League of Kosovo and playing, according to him, with the Democratic Party of Kosovo.

Djind has argued that if there had really been a will to avoid elections, Kurt would have acted earlier.

Otherwise, he would not have waited until today to vote the law in principle. He would have done it sooner, he said.

It has also criticised the introduction of 22 bills into accelerated procedure, as well as the conditioning of the Special Court Law vote with the president’s vote.

According to Djind, these actions testify that Kurti has not really aimed at avoiding elections.

If he really wanted to avoid elections, Win-win had one. But he didn’t, he said.

Speaking of recent political developments, Djind has also reacted to protests and tensions in Pristina, citing the use of tear gas and shootings in the capital’s main square.

We see tear gas and shooting in the capital’s main square against our values of freedom, Djind has declared.

He has also criticised Vetevendosje’s decision to address the Constitutional Court over the possibility that Albulen Haxhiu announces the elections.

Djind has named the situation “Kykaos programmed by Kurtiï, claiming that the prime minister does not, according to him, the independent, free and democratic Republic of Kosovo.”

In the end, despite criticism of the political situation, Djind has said that Kosovo will overcome even this crisis.

But our Kosovo will not be destroyed. He will survive this crisis as well. He will also survive Kurt and his register of evildoers. /Telegraphy.
