Two oldest men in the world celebrate birthdays, exchange congratulations

The two oldest men in the world, Brazilian João Marinho Neto and Australian Ken Weex, have exchanged birthday wishes.

Neto turns 114, and Weex 113.

Born exactly a year away from each other, they are currently the oldest men in the world, according to LongevQuest and Guinness World Records.

Two hundred-year-olds have exchanged photographs where each carries a card with wishes for the other’s birthday.

Neto is the oldest man in the world since November 2024. He is also the oldest confirmed Brazilian.

Experts stress that Neto’s arrival is particularly rare. Only nine men in history have been confirmed living until the age of 114.

Meanwhile, the oldest woman in the world, the British Ethel Cutterham, turned 117 several months ago. /Telegraphy/
