Gervala, Austrian ambassador discuss justice reform

Through a post, Gervala has said that reform in justice is a clear agenda for transforming the justice system, strengthening institutional integrity and guaranteeing responsibility before the law.

It has cited the establishment and functioning of the Bureau, the life of the Veting process, the advancement of the law package in Justice and the finalisation of civil legislation as part of this commitment.

To build stronger institutions, guarantee real accountability and prove that no one, regardless of his name, position, or power, stands above the law has written Gervala.

It has also stressed the importance of finalising the Agreement with Austria for Judiciary Co-operation in Criminal Affairs.

According to her, this agreement represents an important step in strengthening international judicial co-operation, especially in the field of extradition, mutual judicial assistance and transfer of convicted persons.

Geralla has estimated that Austria remains an important partner of Kosovo and that deepening co-operation between the institutions of the two countries serves strengthening state capacities, advancing reforms and consolidating rule of law.
