KEK warns return of B2 unit on Monday, demining the defect is expected to end Sunday

Kosovo Energy Corporation ( KEK has announced that the B2th thermal power utility Kosova B is expected to return to operation on Monday morning, October 26th, following a halt controlled due to a technical defect.

According to KEK, technical teams have been mobilised for the timing of the problem, while works are being developed with accelerated dynamics. Based on current estimates, the defect is expected to be cited by Sunday evening.

In its announcement, KEK has stressed that technical defects could be presented at any thermal power plant and opposed the entity’s halt as energy co-operation, assessing that statements of millions of losses, without verified data and analysis, could create unnecessary concern among citizens.

The corporation has praised the engagement of workers and technical teams, who, according to it, are working to restore production capacity as quickly as possible.

KEK has stressed that it welcomes constructive criticism and media interest, but has demanded that issues related to energy production and security be addressed on the basis of verified facts.

The corporation has announced that public opinion will be long informed of the return of the B2 unit to the operation.
