Prosecutor Suada Rama-Hamza, against whom Arlinda Sylaj Zekitaj’s representative had called for disciplinary investigation into her child’s approach to the issue, is also the deputy member of the Commission for Providing the Jurisprudence Test. The complaint to it has returned to focus after the assassination of Arlinda in Vitomirica, Pec, on October 25th.
Rama-Hamza was involved in the composition approved by the Parliament on 27 April 2026, with 63 votes per. She’s a deputy member asking about the basics of Constitutional Rights and the Judiciary System Bases, where the member is Anita Prenaj-Krasniqi.
The signal newspaper has reported on documents clarifying the Arlinda representative’s complaint about handling her son’s case. Claims were filed for lack of urgent measures for child protection, lack of evidence, and treatment of minors without necessary professional guarantees.
However, on August 21, 2026, Péja’s chief prosecutor had rejected the request for the initiative of the disciplinary procedure. According to the reasoning reported by the signal, it was estimated that the prosecutor had acted within the competencies and that no disciplinary violations had been proven.
On October 22nd, Arlinda again addressed the Prosecution, demanding action against officials for allegedly failing to fulfill duties and for executing a judicial decision. The prosecution has stated that the parachute was registered for assessment by the competent prosecutor and was forwarded for urgent treatment to relevant institutions.
Three days later, Arlinda was killed in Vitomirica. Her brother-in-law, Albert Sylvia, is suspected of murder.
The reported documents link Rama-Hamza to handling the child’s case and to the disciplinary complaint. They do not account for its responsibility for the murder of Arlinda.
