Publicist Laert Vasili has commented on the upcoming protests in Tirana, distinguishing them from previous protests, which lasted over 100 days and were recognised as Revolution Flamingo.
Vasili has said the student movement has been taken hostage by other forces, while he has said that after his TV presentations for the protests, he received threatening messages.
Student movement, if I can call it that, was taken hostage. Even was taken hostage by dark forces, which in these three days, that I’ve come out on television to say the truth that I perceive, my phone is filled with threatening messages and I realized how rich the Albanian language is in abusive speech and curses, Vassili has declared.
Meanwhile, protests by students, professors and youth in Tirana have entered 14th day.
Protesters initially gathered in front of the Ministry of Education, where they have been staying for about two hours, then moved before the prime minister, repeating their demands and calls for the departure of Prime Minister Edi Rama.
The rally has been held quietly, without incidents or clashes with police. During the protest, participants have cheered on calls of resignation and revolution.
Protesters have again rejected Rama’s invitation to dialogue, insisting on their demands.
