Two Albanian citizens, both 51-year-olds, have been arrested in the German town of Ratingen-Hösel, under suspicion of trying to get to a flat.
The event took place on Wednesday evening, October 28th, at around 18:45, on Eggerscheidter Stra rightly Street, after a 72-year-old had notified police of suspicious noises at his home.
When he was in the garden, he had observed two men allegedly trying to break open the roof door. Both had left the back of the garden before police launched a search operation, including a police helicopter.
With the help of local residents, the suspects were located in the garden of a house on WisengRund Street. They were arrested without resistance, with the help of a police dog.
During the investigation, another resident reported another attempted theft at Bruchhaser Straão Street. Police are considering whether the two Albanians have links to the case as well.
After the arrest, both were sent to the police station. One was released at the prosecution’s order, after completing the first investigative actions, while the other was brought before the judge because of an arrest warrant that existed earlier.
The news was published by the German medium News.de, referring to Metmann Police’s announcement.
The suspects will face further investigative procedures, while their guilt for alleged acts has not yet been proven.
