The Constitutional Prosecutor in Gjilan has called for the appointment of a B-based detention measure. Demiri, the father of 27-year-old Adonis Demiri, who was found murdered along with his three-month-old baby in the village of Demajj in Gjilan.
The suspect is being investigated under suspicion of committing a serious murder, according to Article 173 of the Kosovo Criminal Code.
According to the prosecution’s announcement, the case was reported on November 1st, around 0900, when Kosovo police had announced the State Prosecutor’s Search for the Two Victims in the village of Demaj.
Suspect B.D., the 27-year-old father, had been detained for 48 hours.
In co-operation with Kosovo Police, the Directorate for Investigation of Organised Crime and Serious Crime announces the public opinion that by the date 01.11.2026, about 9:00 a.m., the Kosovo Police in Gjilan has been announced to the State Prosecutor, that in the village of Demajj, the municipality of Gjilani, a serious murder case has occurred, where the victims are A.D. (27 years) and D. D. (Monk 3 months), where suspect B.D., the father of the A.D. victim, has been detained for 48 hours.
The prosecution has indicated that on November 2nd it has submitted to the Constitutional Court in Gjilan the request for the appointment of the detention measure against the suspects.
Meanwhile, the investigations are continuing in co-ordination with the Kosovo Police, with the goal of fully dawning the random circumstances.
