Bomb threat on seven flights to Europe

Seven passenger planes in Europe, two of which were launched from Great Britain, were controlled after a series of alleged bomb threats.

Two flights of Ryanair Company, one from Dublin and the other from Lisbon, have been checked after landing in Rome after anonymous information. However, no explosive substances have been found in any of them, sources from Rome’s Fiumicino Airport for the BBC.

Flight from Dublin was escorted by the Italian Air Force to landing.

Authorities have also searched planes in Poland, Spain and Bulgaria.

It is not known if these incidents have links. Although officially there is no connection, the authorities of the different countries will co-operate to assess whether it is a co-ordinated attack aimed at obstructing airspace.

The British government has named today’s incidents as malicious false threats.

In a statement, she said Britain has one of the most powerful aviation safety systems in the world, with procedures well tested for handling any possible threat, including malicious false threats, such as those recorded today.

aviation security expert Paul Mason said bomb threats to passenger planes did not occur so often, naming recent incidents as unusual.
