Lawyer Besnik Berisha, legal representative of the family of the late Arlinda Zekaj, has indicated that several family members and persons, according to him, have substantial information on the case Tuesday.
Berisha has said that this information, according to his assessment, argues not only the initialisation of investigations into Arlinda’s husband but also their expansion to whitewash his possible role in murder.
He claims that the husband had preceded the event with threats, counting Arlinda’s remaining days and describing, according to him, how the murder would be organized.
Today there’s been an interview of several family members and people who, for me, have enough and essential information to justify the investigation not only of the initiative of the husband but also of his investigation because the husband not only warned the killer, not only has he counted the day, but has the market in the sadst way possible to organize the murder by a man who would arrange his letters to send him mad. So that he may know all the people who believe in justice and compassion in the exact accuracy of what we have seen, the deceased has not written her prayers and calls on paper because she has been hysterical, because she has docks that are threatening her, but because they are assured of her days numbered. Her husband made sure that she saw the remaining days, Berisha said.
He also published the contents of a message that Arlinda had sent to her brother, in which she was warned of her husband’s threats.
The sister addresses her brother: What are you doing? Are you tired? One thing I’m trying to tell you, don’t forget, life called me quietly and threatened me to the last point. She said all of Kosovo will only know when it comes and told me to enjoy these good days you have left. Know, if anything happens to me, it’s from him, Berisha quoted Arlinda’s message.
The lawyer said these communications testify that Arlinda had sought help and warned of the impending danger, stressing that her calls were not groundless.
According to Berisha, Arlinda had left the claim to her murder about a year before it occurred.
