It destroys 1,226 pounds of meat products, continues tracking

The extermination was carried out on October 30th 2026, under the supervision of AUV inspectors, in the implementation of the Veterinary Inspectorate and in accordance with the Food Law.

According to the operator’s evidence, waste products include lungs and chicken thighs, chicken meat, beef, beef and other meat products, as well as other food items.

These measures come after the AUV’s initial order to stop the sale, withdraw from the market and eliminate 3,130kg of frozen chicken thighs, after completing the presence of mold.

AUV has indicated that the process of tracking and collecting other amounts of products is continuing. Special attention is being given to products in which changes in organoleptic qualities, including the presence of mold, have been found.

Products identified as inappropriate for human consumption will be subjected to the ban on sales, market withdrawal and annihilation.

The agency has stressed that it will continue monitoring the process, verification of traceability, import documentation, conservation conditions and cooling chain, aimed at protecting consumer health and preventing trade in inadequate consumer products.
