Delegation from Kosovo has been hosted by library director Ágnes Kovácsné Corany, Emese Kovács, international relations expert, and Anna Gáti, representative of the Budapest Department of Diplomacy.
Both sides shared their institutional experiences and practices, highlighting the importance of exchanging knowledge and international co-operation in the field of library.
A special moment of the visit was the presentation of material from the Szabó Ervin Library collection, which relates to Kosovo, including old books, maps and publications documenting the region’s folklore and cultural heritage.
In a sign of friendship and co-operation, the delegation from Kosovo donated a number of books that would join the Kosovo section collection at the Budapest City Library, contributing to further enrichment of the library fund and promotion of our culture.
At the conclusion of the programme, the delegation visited the historic Wenckheim Palace, the facilities of the Central Library and the creative space MetzésPont, becoming closely acquainted with the institution’s history, architecture and cultural activities.
