Cybercab without driver, Tesla targets first shipments of 2026

Tesla plans that by the end of 2026, first customers can purchase Cybercab robotics, a two – seat autonomous vehicle, without steering and pedaling.

Lars Moravy, deputy head of engineering in Tesla, confirmed that the first shipments would be limited, as the company would initially use vehicles for its autonomous transport fleet.

However, fully autonomous direction still depends on software development.

The current Full Self-Driving system requires a person’s supervision.

Tesla is also facing a review by US security authorities, who are praising whether Cybercab meets federal standards despite lack of traditional controls.

The company aims to initially expand robotic services before Cybercab becomes more available to private buyers. /Telegraphy/
