For the sixth day in a row, Pristina has protested following the assassination of Arlinda Zekiaj on 25 October, in Vitomirica in Pec.
The protest, organised by the Council of Religious Thoughts and Action, has gathered citizens in Zahir Pajaziti Square who have sought justice for murdered women and security for those facing violence.
Justice for murdered women, safety for live women, and the women in prison were some of the protest calls.
They carried banners with inscriptions that are located below the patriarchal system, with Arlinda ending, and her eyes follow you, her tears burn!
Protesters have sought responsibility from institutions for failing to act on Arlinda’s warnings about the impending danger, stressing that she had sought help but had not been protected.
Protests have continued every day since her murder, with demands for institutional accountability and more responsible treatment of domestic violence cases.
