Kosovo Police Inspectorate ( The IPK has recommended the Kosovo Police Director General’s suspension from the task of the procurement director in this institution, under suspicion of misuse of office or official authority and conflict in public procurement processes.
According to the IPK communiqué, investigators are conducting preliminary investigation into the official in question, with allegations involving circumstances linking to dozens of procurement contracts conducted through negotiated and confidential procedures.
The investigation includes considering decision-making, the way of developing procurement procedures, as well as respecting criteria and legal obligations by responsible persons.

IPK investigators are conducting a preliminary investigation into the official in question of abuse of official position or authority, as well as issues related to conflict of interest in public procurement processes.
Investigations include circumstances linking with dozens of procurement contracts, carried out through negotiated and confidential procedures, which are under consideration for decision-making, the way to develop procedures and respect the criteria and legal obligations of responsible persons.
To guarantee the integrity and the prosperity of the investigation process, The IPK has recommended the Kosovo Police Director General’s suspension from office in question until the outcome of the criminal investigation.
The IPK in co-ordination with the Special Prosecutor of the Republic of Kosovo is taking the necessary investigative actions for the full lighting of these allegations.
Kosovo’s police inspector remains committed to exercising the legal mandate, addressing with priority any allegations of abuse of official office, violation of institutional integrity and violation of law by police officials, regardless of the position or office they exercise.
