In interviews given during the festival, Lako has praised the level and variety of competitive songs, naming the festival as a platform of very originality.
This year, competitive songs are characterized, modern, of all kinds and styles, Lako said.
He has also made a parallel between the Kosovo festival and that of Albania, stressing that, despite the decades-old experience of the RESH Song Festival, Albania has something to learn from the experience and approach of the Kosovo Accords.
In this year’s edition, artists from Kosovo, Albania, Northern Macedonia and the diaspora have been presented on the festival stage, extending the space of Albanian co-operation and presentation of musical creativity.
According to Lakos, such festivals are of particular importance not only to artists but also to the public, as they create opportunities for more direct communication and the development of the music scene.
With festivals, the artist is closer to the public and the public benefits more. Festival like this should be a little more frequent. Perhaps there should be a joint festival held once a year, with materials emerging from these festivals held in other countries where Albanians live, he has declared.
Lako has stressed that such activities should serve as bridges among Albanian artists, regardless of where they live and create.
I believe that any activity such as this one organised by Kosovo Radio Television is an obligation to establish a link between artists as well as artists and the public. Not only Pristina for Pristina and Tirana for Tirana, but by connecting all parts of Albanians wherever they live — in northern Macedonia, Albania, Kosovo, diaspora, the festival’s jury chairman, Boyko, has said.
The Kosovo Accords festival was held for three nights, 30 October and 31 October, and on November 1, 2026, at the October 1st Hall in Pristina. The first two nights were dedicated to the adult category, while the third night brought the children’s race to this organisation for the first time, extending the space of the festival to new talents.
The professional jury of the adult category was made up of Boyka Lako (head), Besim Gashi ey Babuka, Rebecca Doga, Adelaina Paloja and Astrit Pallaska.
The festival’s first prize was won by Troy Bicuri with the song Mali and Hannah. The second prize was given to Fatbarde Nikci for the song Come Beautiful, which also received the Orcetta Award.
