Man Utd contacts the known coach, but he’s waiting for Juvenus or Real Madrid

Manchester United has made a first move to consider the possibility of naming Didier Deschamps in the coach post, but the Frenchman has no intention of rushing and wants to analyse all options before making a decision.

According to journalist Santi Auna, leaders of the English club have contacted the 57-year-old coach to assess his interest in a possible transition to the Old Tuffford. However, so far there has been no formal offer and no agreement between the parties.

Deschamps has been without commitment since the end of his 14-year adventure at the top of France’s national, following the end of the 2026 World Cup. Now, he’s looking into the possibilities for the next chapter in his career as a coach.

Manchester United’s interest comes in a period of uncertainty about the coach’s position, while the French’s name was mentioned even earlier among the potential candidates. However, Aunna’s recent reports speak of a direct contact by the English club.

United is not the only club that can enter the race for Deschamps services. In late October, French media reported that Juvenous is also considering it an opportunity, in case he decides to change coach, due to uncertainty about the continuation of Luciano Spallettti.

Juvenus represents a special destination for Deschamps, as the Frenchman was part of the Italian club as football player and coach. This makes the team from Turin another option that might weigh on his decision.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid remains in the background. During the past summer, Deschamps was one of the names related to the Madrillan club pank and, according to reports published in June, admitted that during his career he had received several offers, without specifying talks with the Spanish giant.

In the end, Real Madrid decided to trust the direction of Jose Mourinho. However, Deschamps’ name returned to discussions in late October, when some media cited him as a potential candidate to replace Portuguese if the results fail to convince the Madrillian leaders.

At the moment, Manchester United and Juventu’s interest remains in the screening phase, while there are no confirmed negotiations with Real Madrid. /Telegraph/
