Protests begin in Pristina against killing women

Citizens have started gathering in Pristina for the protest against women’s murder, where justice is required for victims and institutional responsibility for cases of violence against women in Kosovo.

The protest is organised by the Council of Thoughts and Religious Action, which has called for a nationwide protest, with a special request for justice for Arlinda Zekaj.

Through this protest, participants aim to seek accountability from responsible institutions, more effective measures for preventing domestic violence and better protection for women facing violence.

The recent cases of women’s murder in Kosovo have prompted numerous public reactions and have brought about demands for institutional responsibility and concrete actions to ensure their safety.
