The nearly 12-year-old child of Arlinda Zekiaj is located at one of the shelters in Kosovo, following his mother’s assassination on 25 October in Vitomirica in Pec.
This has been confirmed for Dukagjin by the Founding Prosecutor in Pec, since they have said that further steps regarding this issue should be addressed to the Centre for Social Affairs.
Meanwhile, the Centre for Social Work has refused to discuss the case, reasoning that they are busy handling it.
Arlinda Zekaj was killed on October 25th in Vitomirica, Pec.
The case has prompted reactions regarding domestic violence, women’s protection and the responsibility of institutions in handling such cases.
