Bulgarian police arrest 19-year-old Skopje after they found counterfeit money

Bulgarian police have arrested 19-year-old H.D. from Skopje on allegations that an estimated 100,000 euros have been found.

Before the Dardisht investigation, he claimed he didn’t know the money was forged.

From the prosecution, they have indicated that he had briefly entered Turkey, where he wore his jacket in the asset whose forged euro bills were sewn up.

During the search at the border, he had seemed anxious, leaned firmly behind the seat and looked toward the ceiling of the vehicle.

After his arrest, a considerable number of photographs of similar forged bills, carried out earlier in the year, were found on his mobile phone.

In some of the photos, he himself appeared.

His lawyer requested a softer security measure on financial guarantees based on the fact that the young man had no criminal precedents and at his new age.

However, the court decided to keep him in custody because of the suspicion that he had committed the criminal work he was accused of, as well as the danger of running away if a more mild measure was implemented.
