The head of the Pristina municipality, Progress Rama, is currently located at the Special Prosecutor’s Objection of the Republic of Kosovo, where he is being interviewed about the capital’s Archictek project.
His interview relates to allegations of irregularities in the 12m-euro tender, though the prosecution has not yet officially confirmed in what quality Rama has been called.
According to media reports, he has been invited to interview the suspect’s quality. The allegations related to this project concern public procurement procedures, contract value, as well as claims of staff manipulation and conflict of interest.
The Pristina municipality, July 22nd, 2022, had opened the tender for co-operation for the establishment of the Capital’s Archytorial Service, worth 12m euros and 36 months’ duration.
Before entering the prosecutor, Rama had declared that his task is to build the capital, while justice bodies are entitled to verify the legality of the actions.
