The United States has offered rewards of up to $20m, as well as the possibility of moving to another country, for people offering information on Iran’s nuclear programme.
According to the U.S. Army Central Command, the initiative “Rewards for Justice” aims to provide information about Iranian nuclear facilities, used equipment, personnel involved and scientists who are part of this programme.
This U.S. State Department initiative, founded in 1984, aims to provide information that can help protect US national security.
In the report, the State Department stressed that Iran’s lack of co-operation with the International Agency for Atomic Energy ( The IAEA has limited the possibility of this one constantly monitoring Iranian equipment production and reserves, including centrifuges.
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump has repeatedly declared that American forces have destroyed Iran’s nuclear facilities.
Speaking Friday at the Kennedy Space Centre in Florida, Trump has stressed that the US is making sure Iran never owns nuclear weapons.
He also claimed that, without attacks undertaken by American bomber B-2 more than a year ago, Israel would face a much greater threat today.
Iran’s nuclear programme remains one of the main issues in negotiations on ending the war between Iran, the US and Israel, which, according to the report, started in late February with American and Israeli attacks on Iran.
On the other hand, Iranian President Massoud Peszkian has confirmed that his government is continuing efforts to resolve conflict through dialogue.
