Kosovo Milkies Association ( The SHEC has raised concern about the possible use of palm fat in products sold in ovens and pieries in the country.
Through a public reaction, the association has asked institutions responsible to verify whether palm fat is being used in these products instead of the literal milk breast.
According to the SHEC, consumers can be buying and consuming products without being properly informed of their composition.
The Society estimates that if this practice is widespread, it can constitute consumer fraud and violate honest competition in the market.
It has also called on owners and oven and pieries responsibles to be transparent and inform buyers of the composition of products they sell.
The NEC has requested that institutions address this issue and carry out the verification needed to protect consumers.
