Sony restores the ikeonic earpieces of 1979, comes with the USB-C and a special version of Stranging Words)

Japan’s Sony Company has restored electronic MDR-3 headphones, introduced for the first time in 1979 along with the famous Walkman TPS-L2 stereo, adapting them to some modern technologies.

The New Model Called MDR-3R, preserves the classic design of ancestors, including light construction, open shape, and distinctive blue and orange pillows, which can be changed.

Sony has also kept the audio director at 23 mm while making slight improvements in audio quality. Among the main innovations are the integrated microphone for calls, cable commands and connections through the gate USB-C.

The corners do not require charge, Bluetooth connections or software updates, as they function by connecting directly to compatible devices.

Besides the standard model, the company also presented the special version. MDR-3R Strager Sings Edition, inspired by the headphones that Max uses in Netflix series.

This version comes with the serial logo, red and black pillows, and special packing.

The standard model is sold for $59.99, while special edition costs $79.99. Both models are available in the U.S. through Sony’s official store, Amazon and other vendors.
