A new study by the University of Limerick has revealed that human gender prejudice is also shown in interactions with Al.
There were 189 people in the experiment who worked with four types of AI assistants.
Two of them had human images: Johann, with male appearance, and Johanna, with female appearances.
They both used the same technology and had the same skills.
However, the participants paid Johanna about 10% less for the same job Johan did.
The study shows that the design of an AI, including its gender and appearance, can affect how people perceive and reward it.
As Al’s agents grow in the workplace, these prejudices can become an increasingly important issue. /Telegraphy/
