The scientific works of Kosovo researchers in some cases are being recorded as Serbia’s on the international platform éScopusı, which indexs academic publications and enables authors, magazines and the impact of scientific research.
This situation relates to the way the platform records the data of academic institutions, where, along with the name of the University of Pristina, Serbia also appears as a state to which the institution is linked.
In September 2022, the platform “Scopus” had recognised Kosovo, putting its name in the scientific publication of Kosovo researchers. However, in July 2023, Serbia’s name had been restored to scholars from Kosovo.
éScopus is one of the best known international dates of bibliographic data and scientific quotations used for indexing, research and analyzing academic publications.
Pristina University uses this platform for the introduction of scientific publications by its professors, which makes accurate identification of Kosovo authors and academic institutions important.
