Abdul, Lamine Yamali’s uncle, has expressed his dissatisfaction with the results of the Golden Ball ceremony, criticising Harry Kane’s victory and claiming his nephew was the best player in the world.
Bayern Munich and England striker Harry Kane was declared the winner of the Golden Ball by France Football magazine, while Barcelona and Spain’s star Lamine Yamal was ranked third.
My sister’s son was extraordinary, he was the best player in the world. Everybody knows that. If you love football, you go to see Lamine Yamali, not Harry Kane, Abdul said.
He went on with a stinging comment about the English assailant’s age, suggesting that the price was given because his career is nearing its end.
Lamine is very young, only 19 years old, and will still win the Golden Ball. Harry has only three days left in football, so we’re giving him the Golden Ball, he said.
Abdul also claimed that Yamali had had had an extraordinary season, citing trophies and his contribution to the field.
Lamine won the World Cup, La League and Supercup. He plays exceptionally. There was an incredible season.
There are goals no one else can score. Passing, assisting… anything you can ask for. He will win five Golden Balls, close Spanish footballer’s relative. /Telegraph/
