Albania’s government plans to cover 50 per cent of rent expenditures for students meeting the set criteria.
Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama has made this known during a meeting with bank executives, introducing some of the previous measures in the social and affordable housing bill.
According to Rama, the initiative aims to ease the student’s financial burden, especially due to increased rent prices, which pose big difficulties, especially in Tirana.
The government will be introduced to pay 50% of the rent for all students meeting the conditions that are related to the criteria, Rama has declared, reports A2.
The head of the Albanian government has announced that the draft law includes other support measures, including loans of zero interest to young couples aiming to buy flats, to a certain value, as well as to young professionals.
