Muja: Five meat samples of the disturbing parameters, two of them from the appetit

Agriculture Minister Amend Muja has announced that five samples of meat analysed so far have resulted in disturbing parameters, while two of them are related to the products of the company {Apetiti].

Responding to questions by Alliance for the Future of Kosovo MP Time Kadriy, in the Kosovo Parliament, Muja has indicated that institutions have begun verifying every shipment imported from Brazil for the period from January 1st to September 5th.

Let me tell you that by now we’ve received 240 laboratory tests, from which we’ve accepted results for 111 of them, 5 samples make the disturbing parameters that we’ve sent abroad for verification, 2 of them to connect to the AApetinão, three of them with other operators. 1,446 meat shipments sent from Brazil are being verified one by one, he said.

According to Muja, the controls are focused not only on the company “Apetiti” but also on other operators importing meat into Kosovo.

He has stressed that this company is among the biggest importers, but about 60 per cent of imports are realised by other operators, who are also undergoing tests and verifications.

Speaking of the 103-ton burden of frozen beef, which was banned by Montenegrin authorities due to doubts about the expiration and labelation deadline, Muja has shown that Kosovo institutions have been first reported on the case through the media.

According to him, on September 15th they were informed of the issue, while one day later, on September 16th, the Kosovo Food and Veterinary Authority ( AUV has contacted Montenegro’s respective authority to request information.

We have been informed that the case is being handled by their Customs, not the Food Authority. We’ve received the first information, which confirms allegations that authorities have had on these shipments, or there are doubts about changing the labels. So far we have this information from Montenegro authorities, the minister has said.

Muja has stressed that, despite procedures under way in Montenegro, Kosovo institutions have ordered full control of every delivery of meat since September.

Since September we have ordered 100 percent control of each shipment, he has declared, adding that the official report by Malaysian authorities is also expected.

Again, the MP, Kadrijaj, reacted by saying she has no right to poison the people with expired meat.

Are you going to blacklist the appetit company? One more minister, that local companies are attacking them with all your government arsenal. Same as you’ve seen with the milk factory Vita every day that was this company’s attack… /Telegraphy/
