Regulatory Authority for Water Services ( ARRU has published new tariffs for 2027, which will be implemented for Kosovo’s water supply and sewer services.
The changes are part of the tariff process for the period 2026,2028, and include seven Regional Water Companys, as well as the company Iber-Lepenc.
According to the ARR report, tariffs have been defined in view of service delivery costs, operational expenditures, investment needs and infrastructure maintenance.
Electricity costs, rehabilitation of existing networks and expanding water supply and sewer systems are included in the analysis.
The tariffs vary depending on the regional company and consumer categories, which are divided into domestics and non-houses.
In the case of KRU Pristina, a family that spends 15 cubic metres of water a month pays about 9.52 euros on the 2026 fee, while in 2027, that amount amounts to about 10.11 euros. The difference is approximately 59 cents a month, only for the water fee.
The final sum of the bill can be higher, as these estimates do not include channeling fees and other evental payments.
The ARRU has stressed that the aim of the process is to make the tariffs reasonable and transparent, while also providing coverage of the costs needed for sustainable functioning and development of water services.
