Greece and Egypt are discussing the possibility of expanding their Economic Exclusions East to Cyprus, following ratification by the eastern Libya parliament of a maritime agreement disputed with Turkey, Reuters reported.
Greek Foreign Minister George Gerapetritis has declared that any expansion of the agreement between Greece and Egypt would be in line with international law and the United Nations Convention on Sea Law ( U n NCLOS).
Meanwhile, Gerapetritis and his Egyptian counterpart, Badr Abdelatty, have reaffirmed their opposition to the 2019 naval memorandum between Turkey and Libya, stressing their commitment to international law.
