Cochiu for protests: Blind violence driven by political resentment, danger to the lives of protesters, citizens

Z. Prime Minister Albana Kociu has reacted to the hurt of the young man from Elbasan during the protest, naming the event an alarm call for the serious consequences of violence.

In a status on her Facebook account, Kociu charges that violence is driven by old political resentments and says it is unacceptable for the case to be used for propaganda and to justify the continuation of violent protests.

Koci’s full delivery:

Blind violence, driven by old political screens and resentments, has turned into a serious risk to the lives of protesters and citizens themselves.

Elbasan’s young man’s injury is an alarm call for the serious consequences of violence in protest. It is unacceptable for such an event to be used for propaganda and to justify following this dead end.

The Albanian government has been fully committed to ensuring the treatment of the young man to an Italian hospital, as well as its transport by medical aircraft.

The time of those who seek to destroy all that we’re building so hard is about to end. Albania’s light today is far greater than their darkness
