Serbia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs strongly condemned the attack on police officials, which took place in Lazarevc in the evening. According to her, two police officers were injured during the incident.
During this incident, a group of persons physically attacked members of the police, using stones, pyrotechnic tools and other dangerous items, said the MPB’s announcement.
Members of the Serbian MPB, in co-operation with the competent prosecution, are taking all legal measures to identify and arrest all persons involved in the attack, the report said.
Serbia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs called on all citizens to refrain from any form of violence and aggression, especially from attacks on police officials, so that the election process can be conducted peacefully, safely and in accordance with the law.
