Tahiri: Procrastination of the Law for Specialised Chambers Is Not the Work of National Cause

The Alliance’s Parliamentary Group chief, Besnik Tahiri, has criticised the delays in determining the procedure for formalising the Law for Specialised Chambers, saying there are still no concrete actions by institutions.

Tahiri has said the Alliance has asked the Commission for Legislation and the Legal Office to determine the precise procedure for adoption, respectively, but according to him, this has not yet happened.

He has stressed that his party supports this law unconditionally, while criticising the procrastination of the process, linking it with the need for the support of four former KLA leaders being tried in The Hague.

Alenaca has asked the Commission for Legislation, by the legal office, to determine the precise procedure on how approval will take place, respectively. This has not happened until now, this extension is not in the function of our national, Kosovo state cause, which should be the protection of those four men who also gave Kosovo a great pain on September 16th. Time is running out, state action is not happening yet, has not met the State Commission, there are still no concrete actions to be taken. The alliance will forward these issues because it has been in favour of this law without any conditions. Without any demands on our conviction that we should give support to those men there, he said. /EO
