Kurti said the Albanian Coalition received 27.607 votes, naming it the highest result of Albanians since 2000. According to him, the result is 1,233 votes higher than that of 2020, when Albanians won three mandates.
With 35 percent increase of the national minority election coffient, this result has the estimated equivalent of 37,354 votes, Kurti noted.
He said Albanians are the fourth largest population minority in Serbia, but in these elections were ranked second in the number of votes and first in mandates, along with Hungarians, among the national minorities’ lists.
Commenting on the results in Serbia, Kurti stressed that the student list came first, while President Aleksandar Vuciq’s coalition lost the parliamentary majority and Ivica Dacic’s list remained out of the Assembly.
A quarter of a century after Milosevic and Scheel’s defeat, at the beginning of the 20th century, their political followers, Vuciq and Daciq, lost, Kurti said.
Prime Minister Kurti commended the Albanian subjects for this success and thanked them for co-operation and co-ordination among themselves.
