The first contingent of knee prosthetics has arrived at the Orthopeda Clinic at the University Clinical Centre in Kosovo ( CKUK), marking the beginning of the process of placing these prosthetics at QKUK and regional hospitals.
According to the announcement, in co-operation with the Ministry of Health, decentralisation of waiting lists is beginning through proportional distribution of cases in all regional hospitals.
The process aims for patients to receive treatment closer to residence, have easier access to health services, and reduce waiting lists for these interventions.
The announcement cites the deployment of knee and eyeball prosthetics, while confirming that the first contact reached at the Orthopedic Clinic consists of knee prosthetics. /Telegraph/
