Conjufca: We will defend the truth of liberation war in the international arena

Glauk Konjufca, the first deputy prime minister and minister of Kosovo’s Foreign Affairs, leader of the Appeals Workers Group in defence of former KLA leaders, has today led the Constituent Meeting of the Workers Group for the drafting and harmonisation of the State Strategy over appeals procedures before the Specialised Chambers in The Hague.

Konjufca has indicated that the main directions of the strategy are being discussed at the meetings, responsible groups have been appointed for drafting it, and the overall work plan has been determined.

The Parliament of the Republic of Kosovo and September 28th declaration expressed our common will to reject the unjust bias against KLA leaders and defend the truth of our liberation war. Following it and the decision made by the Government on October 14th, today I chaired the Constituent Meeting of the Workgroup for the drafting and harmonisation of the State Strategy regarding appeals procedures before the Specialised Chambers in The Hague, he wrote on Facebook.

He has announced that at this meeting they discussed the main directions of the strategy, appointed groups responsible for drafting it, and determined the overall work plan.

Our commitment is that the leaders of our liberation war have the full support of the state of Kosovo in their appeal battle. In addition to this support, we will firmly defend the truth of our liberation war in the international arena and reject any attempt to distort it. The NLA unites us all beyond differences, because its liberation war lies in the foundations of our freedom and state. In this battle, all institutions of the Republic and political forces have responsibilities and will remain united, with commitment and determination requiring the protection of a historic right of our people, he said.
