Problems in Serbia’s economy are complex and require a deep analysis by economists, who must draft a strategy for the development of specific sectors and investment orientation.
So stated Zoran Drakulic, owner of the Bio Energy Point company, stressing that the Serbian economy faces numerous problems that must be addressed after the change of government.
In a proposal for the Beta agency, Drakulic said that after the 25 October parliamentary elections, much of the economic policies that, according to him, have resulted in negative consequences.
There’s a lot of bad things in the economy. There’s a lot of black money all over the economy. I believe that a significant part of the gross domestic product ( Multiply through money black from drugs, worth five to six billion euros, he said.
Draculic estimated that another important challenge is the supply of energy products. According to him, Serbia should draft a long-term strategy for securing gas and oil derivatives.
He also cited the agricultural situation, stressing that at a time when food security is of particular importance, some 700 thousand hectares of land remain uncultivated in Serbia.
The Serbian businessman said other solutions in the construction sector are needed, especially in terms of building a large number of apartments.
He also urged change in the model of economic development, arguing that Serbia should attract new businesses instead of continuing to expand the expansion of companies dealing with cable wraps.
Commenting on the regime’s warnings on the removal that the euro could reach 200 dinars, Dracula said the exchange rate should not be used for political or economic games.
Experts should say whether the exchange rate should be adjusted to the annual inflation rate. Unexpected changes are not good. I remember that ten years ago, foreign funds earned 30 percent of the capital invested within a year due to increased exchange rate, he said. /The GeoPost
