Alliance Parliamentary Group chief Besnik Tahiri has criticised the deputies of the Vetevendosje Movement, accusing them of trying to profit politically from the murder of Arlinda Zekij.
Speaking in the Assembly, Tahiri referred to the publication of an AAK MP’s photo by Daut Haradinaj, with the person suspected of killing Zekaj, citing the low attempt to politically interlock such a tragedy.
He said the case requires rapid institutional response, criminal investigation and responsibility from relevant institutions.
The tragedy that happened a few days ago by the barbarian murder that shocked a country, which is not leaving any parent with a daughter, each brother with a sister, a tragedy that requires quick institutional, state, responsibility, criminal investigation and, above all, responsibility from the institutions in the country, Tahir said.
He specifically addressed Vetevendosje deputies, criticising what he described as political benefits from the case.
It’s low in any circumstance, without evidence, which one of us would try to profit politically from a tragedy, from a body that hasn’t yet been in the ground. And here I am addressing you, esteemed colleagues of the Vetevendosje Movement, he said.
Tahiri also criticised VV deputy Taulant Kelmendi, over his reaction to Daut Haradinaj’s photo of the suspect in the Arlinda assassination.
I’m addressing MP Taulant, who’s probably going out with a reading speech at the folk room, and he’s been messing around about the Dukagjin forces for what happened to a picture someone ate a lunch. But you MPs are here. And we’ve got psychopaths in our families. He was able to connect and confuse a man, an MP, whom his family knows very well. This is low, Tahiri said.
The criticism also took place for Vetevendosje MP Arlinda Feyza, over a statement in a TV show for former AAK leader Ramush Haradinaj, whom she had linked with allegations of violence against women.
Tahiri questioned the basis of these claims and said no charges should be made without evidence.
