The protest has been organised following the assassination of 49-year-old Arlinda Zekiaj, on 25 October in Vitomirica, Peja, in the case that has sparked numerous reactions in public opinion.

The square is packed with citizens who have joined in opposing violence against women and seeking concrete measures to prevent such cases.

The murder of Arlinda Zekit has sparked protests in other Kosovo cities, where citizens have sought justice for the victim, institutional responsibility and greater protection for women.
