Arsenal is intensifying efforts for the transfer of the Leipzig side, Antonio Nusa, but the gap in its card assessment between two clubs remains the main obstacle, reports Tuttomercatoweb.
The London club has placed the Norwegian frontist on the list of targets for reinforcement of the offensive department, while negotiations between the parties are said to have taken up pace over the past few days.
However, Leipzig requires 70m euros for 21-year-old services, while Arsenal had earlier announced he was unwilling to offer more than 55m euros.
According to the report, the heads of the English club are now considering the possibility of increasing the offer in an effort to bring the deal closer to the demands of the German team.
Leipzig’s position in the negotiations has also been strengthened by the sale of Yan Diomandes at Real Madrid for 140m euros this summer.
This agreement has given the German club more space and negotiating power on the transfer market.
Meanwhile, Nusa had been on Rome’s radar for the past summer, but the Italian club’s interest was not concluded by agreement. /Telegraph/
