For the fifth consecutive day, protest will be held in Pristina today, in search of justice for the murder of 49-year-old Arlinda Zekiaj in Vitomirica in Pec.
The protest has been warned to start at 5: 00 a.m., from the Zahir Pajaziti Square, while organisers are from the Council of Thought and Religious Action.
Through an announcement, Kolestin has indicated that their demands continue to remain the same — justice for Arlinda, institutional responsibility and security for all women in Kosovo.
On Sunday are seven days from the day Arlinda Zekaj was killed and five days since we’re on the road seeking justice for him and every woman killed. Five days that we earnestly seek security and freedom for every living woman. Our demands are clear, but the state continues to refuse to listen to us, the announcement says.
Organisers have warned that the protests will continue until the institutions responsible are accountable for the failures that, according to them, led to the Arlinda case.
We do not back down, and every opening day will find us in the squares in front of institutions that failed Arlinda and are continuing to fail every single inch in Kosovo, it is said among other things in their call.
In the end, the Kolestin has called on citizens to join today’s protest and seek justice for Arlinda Zekay and every murdered woman.
