With the opening ceremony held on Saturday evening at the JHAbdolaye Wade Stadium, they have officially launched the 4th annual Junior Olympic Games, which will take place from October 31st to November 13th in Senegal.
At the parade of the participating delegations, the Kosovo flag held the jungle Arba Hasanaj, which represented our country at the ceremony.
The ceremony was accompanied by a rich artistic programme, combining elements of Senegaln tradition and culture with the sports and Olympic spirit. Among those present was International Olympic Committee President Kirsty Coventry.
Sportsmen aged 14 to 18, who will compete in various sports disciplines, participate in this edition.
Kosovo’s Olympic team in Dakar consists of three athletes: Judistist Arba Hasanaj, taekwondist Shega Sejdiu and athlete Eris Avdullahu.
Kosovo athletes will represent the country at this important international event, aiming to perform best in their disciplines.
