British singer Raye has won the prestigious Mercoury Price 2026 award, announcing her second album winner, CHATThis Music May Contain Hope.
The artist received the award on October 22nd at the ceremony held at Utilia Arena in Newcastle, where she triumphed in the face of popular names of music, including Paul McCartney, Florence + The Machine, Olivia Dean and Suede.
Its new album has been praised for combining several musical snakes, such as jazz, soul, R&B and classical music.
During the award’s admission, Ray did not contain his emotions and appeared tearful on the stage.
