The founding prosecutor in Ferizaj has called for the appointment of the detention measure against 26-year-old Andrew Jashari, suspected of physically assaulting a guardian doctor in Ferizaj’s Emergency.
The signal newspaper reported yesterday exclusively on the case, revealing the identity of the suspect, who allegedly punched doctor F.F., 32-year-old, until the latter was offering medical help to his father.
According to the prosecution’s announcement, the event took place on November 1st 2026, about hour 5, at the QKMF Emergency Service facilities in Ferizaj, on the street of Ramadan Rexhepi.
The suspect had brought his father, who was evidently drunk, to receive medical treatment. During the time when health personnel were taking care of the patient, 26-year-old allegedly intervened by putting pressure on staff.
Because of limited space and the need for treatment to develop without obstacles, he had been asked to leave the room, but he allegedly refused and then had punched him once on the left side of the steward’s face.
As reported yesterday, the Signal newspaper reported, a person present who had dismissed the suspect had intervened and arrested him at the scene.
The doctor had not reported injuries or requested medical treatment.
To Andrew Jashar, who has been held in a 48-hour ban since November 1st, the prosecution has already asked the Constitutional Court in Ferizaj for the detention assignment, under suspicion of criminal work quite an official person, from Article 402, paragraph 1 of the Republic of Kosovo Penal Code.
