Weightlifter Brian Ibanez has failed to compete for Kosovo on Monday at the China World Weightlifting Championship, due to a disease.
The 20-year-old was meant to compete in the category of up to 85kg, but the absence in the race has made it known himself through social networks.
Meanwhile, the gold medal in this category won Abdelrahman Jones from Egypt, who set a world record of 390 pounds [390 kg] total.
Races for other Kosovo representatives continue over the next few days. Emily Ibanez is expected to compete on Tuesday, while on Wednesday, Kianoush Rostami.
All three athletes are naturalised and represent Kosovo in this championship.
