The U.S. accused him of stealing the Kryptonite from Binance/ North Korea rejects accusations

North Korea dismissed US charges linking it to a multibillion dollar cryptodollar theft involving Banance, accusing Washington of using cybercrime charges to undermine its international reputation.

Kim Yo Jong, the influential sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and a senior employee of the Workers’ Party, called the charges a serious political provocation.

She said the FBI was trying to portray North Korea as a criminal cyberstate, claiming that a group of hackers supported by genan was involved in theft.

The US statement is an absurd rhetoric and nothing new, Kim said in a statement. She accused Washington of regularly blaming North Korea for major international cyber attacks without offering reliable evidence.

Kim also cited US accusations linking cehenan to stealing last year’s cryptomites involving the Bybit Stock Exchange.

North Korea has repeatedly denied US accusations of state-sponsored cyberattacks, while Washington has accused North Korean hacker groups of stealing digital assets to finance the country’s weapons programmes.

Kim suggested Washington could benefit from recovering stolen crypto notes, referring to US plans to create a strategic reserve for crypto notes.

She said that Phenani was closely monitoring US provocations and that Washington’s hostility could lead her to reconsider her position on certain issues.
