Economy Minister Artane Rizvanolli and the manager of the Kosovo Energy Efficiency Fund, Nnomza Hoxha, have signed the agreement on transferring tools worth 1m euros to support the Fund’s activity and advancing its targets in the area of energy efficiency.
The report says that through this agreement, the Government of the Republic of Kosovo reaffirms its commitment to reducing energy consumption, promoting effective use and improving citizens’ living conditions through investments that bring tangible and long-term benefits.
Support for the Kosovo Energy Efficiency Fund has been ongoing, where since 2019, the Government has allocated tools worth a total of 10m euros, with the aim of supporting the scope and expansion of measures for energy efficiency nationwide.
Support for the Fund has been realised not only through budgetary divisions, but also through close co-operation with international partners for providing additional financing and expanding programmes that support families, multinational buildings and public institutions.
The work of the Kosovo Energy Efficiency Fund provides a successful example of how public policies and strategic investments can turn into tangible benefits for citizens, the report says.
The point is that through renovation of public buildings, individual homes and multinational buildings, these investments contribute to lowering energy consumption, reducing energy spending and improving quality of living.
Investments in energy efficiency enable households to enjoy better living conditions, warmer homes during winter and cooler summers, while simultaneously providing stable savings in energy bills.
Their benefits extend beyond the family economies, as energy savings help reduce the load on the electromagnetic system, strengthen domestic energy security and environmental protection, the Ministry’s announcement said. /Telegraphy/
