Mohammed Salah is expected to receive two rare honours in Turkey, just a few months after he was transferred to the country.
During the summer, after ending his extraordinary nine-year adventure with Liverpool, Salah rejected further bids to join Trabzonspor in Turkey’s Superliga.
He was transferred as a free player and became one of the most paid football players in the championship after signing two-year contract with seven-time Turkey’s champion.
Since the arrival of Trabzonspor, Salah has shown no signs of slowdown in the field, marking eight goals and donating three asymmetries to 10 presentations on the Turkish football elite.
In September, he realised het-trick against Galatasaray, quickly becoming one of the fans’ heroes.
But his influence was not limited to the playing field.
Salah’s presence has also brought great effect to the city of Trabzon, where direct flights between the Egyptian capital, Cairo, and Trabzon have started since August.
The club has also won millions of new social networking followers after Salah’s transfer, which once again proves his status as one of the world’s largest names of football.
It has now become known that Salah is expected to be honoured by the Turkish state after his summer transfer.
According to Mohammed Kaoud, journalist of BBC Arabia, Salah is expected to be equipped with Turkish citizenship along with his family.
Moreover, it is expected to also receive the State Medal of Daydad Service, one of high-level honours, as a assessment of the recent unprecedented achievement in Turkey’s sports and tourism sectors. /Telegraph/
